First time use

DigiAgriApp is designed to be used on a tablet, but it can just as well be used on a cell phone or PC. If you use a cell phone, it is best to use it horizontally.

The first time you execute DigiAgriApp app it requires to set up the connection with a server. You can register to a server or login if you have already an account, for example provided by your organization.

Registration

It is possible to register to a public DigiAgriApp instance directly from the application.

You need to fill all the fields of the form and submit it. If everything went smoothly you will receive a successfull message, otherwise a message with the error that the app received from the server (like user or e-mail address already used).

Login

The app inform you about this and you can move to the right settings page using the Go to login settings page button

At this point you have to set the server URL, the username and the password; please remember to save each record.

NOTE

If you registered from the app you will find all the fields pre-compiled.

The first time you login it will ask if you want to add your device as sensor, this is really useful if you want to upload images to the server

WARNING

If you have deleted and reinstallated the app it will try to add your device again and it will return an error. Don’t be scared and continue to use the app without any prblem.

The setup is done and now you should be able to see the list of farms (if you have at least one) in you main page. You can reach the main page clicking the arrow button in the top left.

Create first data

If you are using a public instance of DigiAgriApp probably you don’t have any farm connected to you account and the farms’ list will be empty.

WARNING

The registration’s feature could be disabled and only the administrator of the DigiAgriApp server can create new users. This should be quiet common within the organization’s DigiAgriApp server instance.

Clicking on the button in the upper right corner a form will appear. Here you can add the information of the farm. Short code is an abbreviation of the

If you have just one farm you will get in the fields’ list page. This page will be blank so you need to create you first field.

Clicking the button in the upper right corner a new window will appear and you will be able to create a new field.

Fill the form fields, pay attention to Start date field and set it when you create the field, if it is empty it will be set to today. To add the geometry you need to click in the vertices of the field polygon and later save the geometry with the third button in the map. At this point you can click on the save button in the lower right corner.
